Do you need to be a pro to play analogue shuffleboard?
No. A first-time player can slide a puck within seconds of walking up to the table, which is exactly why it works in a bar.
The curve is what keeps it interesting: the surface rewards touch rather than strength, so a mixed group stays evenly matched and nobody sits out.
How do you keep track of scoring on an analogue shuffleboard?
By eye, the way the game has always been scored. Only one team scores per end, counting the pucks that finish past the other team's furthest puck, and the first team to fifteen points wins.
Every table comes with the rules to hand, and venues that want automatic scoring take SHUFL Tech instead.
Why is a curved playing field on a shuffleboard more fun to play?
The concave surface makes every shot a decision. A puck runs with the curve, so the line you choose matters as much as how hard you slide it.
That gives a beginner an immediate reason to try again and an experienced player something to work on — which is what keeps a group at the table.
Where can I try out an analogue shuffleboard?

What is the average monthly revenue on a shuffleboard?
It varies with the venue, the pricing model and how hard the table is programmed, so we do not quote a single figure.
What we can do is model it with you against the sites we already work with, and against how your own room trades through the week.
What is the average downpayment time on a mid size shuffleboard?
Payback depends on your pricing, your opening hours and how the table is used, so it is worked out per venue rather than quoted as a rule.

What size space do I need — do I need a large area?
It depends on the game, and most venues fit one into space they already have. A SHUFL. shuffleboard needs a clear run for the table plus standing room at both ends, and a FLYBY Darts oche needs roughly the footprint of a throw line with seating behind it.
We survey the room before recommending anything, so the format and the number of games are matched to the space rather than the other way round.
How many games will I be able to offer on my Social Games setup?
Our interactive games ship with a library of game modes — around twenty across SHUFL Tech and FLYBY Darts — from quick two-player rounds to team formats built for a full group.
New modes arrive with software updates, so the offer grows without anything changing on your floor.
How do I organise private and corporate events?
Events run on the same games your walk-in guests play, with tournament and league formats built in and scoring handled by the system.
We provide the event formats, run-sheets and staff training; you take the booking and run the hospitality around it. Ask us for the event and tournament guide.
How do I update the tech — do I need an engineer on site?
No. Software updates are delivered remotely and install themselves outside trading hours, so new game modes and fixes arrive without a visit.
An engineer only comes out for hardware — an installation, a service visit or a part that needs replacing.
What new Social Games are in the planning?
There is always something in development, and new game modes for SHUFL Tech and FLYBY Darts land through the year.
